All too quickly…

The other night as I looked through a trunk full of pictures, precious memories flooded my mind of children growing up and how quickly it all happened. I remember my mom saying she wished time would stand still because all of us kids were a perfect age and she was able to enjoy it. I understood when my kids reached a certain age too. They were self sufficient, didn’t need to be watched every moment and they still liked to be around their parents. That all can change over night as most parents know.
And then there were grand children and they grow up even faster. This thought brought me to the pictures where the grandies, Hannah, Sienna, Braedyn and Reagan are having a sleep over at Shawn and Ami’s house (my son and daughter-in-law). They took their fleece sleeping blankets , which were a grandma project one year. I notice in the pictures how well they all fit in them and now as I’m thinking about it, a couple of the grand kids are getting quite tall. It’s probably time to make them sleeping bags once again.
Everyone grows up quickly and grows old quickly so every minute should be enjoyed to the fullest…and take lots of pictures along the way.
I love pictures of family…good times spent together, as they are the needles and threads that stitch life together with wonderful memories…ones that last a lifetime.
